Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to many court records under La. R.S. 44:1 and La. R.S. 44:32. The hard part is figuring out which Acadia Parish office holds the file. The Clerk of Court maintains civil, criminal, marriage, divorce, probate, wills, land, mortgage, conveyance, and copy records. The 15th Judicial District Court handles district court proceedings and calendars. The Sheriff's Office handles jail, bond, traffic, warrant, and law-enforcement records. City, mayor's, and justice of the peace courts may hold local citation, small claim, eviction, and bench-warrant records.
